Our Purpose
We are a volunteer-run nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization working in the United States and globally to empower refugees, immigrants, and displaced individuals and families through social integration, economic empowerment, educational support, and psychological well-being.
We provide the people we serve with a holistic suite of support services that facilitate meaningful social integration, economic independence, educational advancement, and psychological resilience. We strategically allocate funding and resources to maximize impact, deliver skill development, vocational training, and job placement to enhance financial autonomy, and design tailored workshops to support entrepreneurship and small business growth. Through documenting their journeys, we deepen understanding and promote empathy while prioritizing the employment of individuals from refugee backgrounds to strengthen leadership and agency. Furthermore, we actively celebrate and promote the cultural heritage of refugee, immigrants and displaced people through community events that foster inclusion and mutual respect, creating pathways for connection, belonging, and long-term success.

FLUENCY OVER COFFEE INITIATIVE
The Fluency Over Coffee Initiative is a welcoming community-based English conversation and social integration program for refugees, immigrants, and displaced individuals and families. Through informal coffee gatherings, participants practice conversational English, build confidence, develop relationships with neighbors, and strengthen their sense of belonging. The program reduces isolation, supports cultural exchange, and helps newcomers navigate daily life, school, work, and community participation with greater confidence.
ABILENE NEIGHBOR CELEBRATION
The Abilene Neighbor Celebration is a community-building and cultural inclusion program that brings together refugees, immigrants, and residents to celebrate diversity, belonging, and shared humanity. Through cultural performances, food, storytelling, music, art, and community engagement, the program creates opportunities for neighbors to learn from one another, reduce barriers, and strengthen social cohesion in Abilene. ANC promotes inclusion by helping newcomers feel seen, valued, and welcomed as part of the local community.
FLAME OF HOPE GLOBAL INITIATIVE
The Flame of Hope Global Initiative is RISE’s global humanitarian and empowerment program designed to support displaced children, families, and vulnerable communities affected by conflict, poverty, and forced migration. The program mobilizes resources, partnerships, and community support to provide educational assistance, psychosocial support, basic-needs relief, and long-term empowerment opportunities. FHGI reflects RISE’s commitment to restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity for displaced populations worlwide.
